Primary School Procedures
Sodexo has provided meals freshly prepared each day for BIS students, parents and staff since January 2006. During this time Sodexo has received feedback and implemented changes to improve service and the quality of the food prepared.
All parents with children in Grades 1–5 can order hot meals for their children online. All hot meals comprise a main course, a dessert and a choice of water or milk. Meals can be ordered for specific days with a choice of a vegetarian or more traditional option.
To order Sodexo meals for your EL or Primary School child, please read the conditions and information about the ordering system explained below:
STEP 1: How to register your child
Registration forms need to be completed separately for each individual child. The “Registration for Meals Programme” AND the “SEPA Direct Debit” forms must be returned by email (scanned or photo of forms), fax or post to the Sodexo Service Centre. You can also return completed forms to our Sodexo staff in the Cafeteria.
Upon receipt and processing of these forms, you will receive a confirmation of registration with your customer data and your online access password (customer number - Kundennummer and PIN) by post. Parents may register their child(ren) at any time, even during the course of the current school year. Registration forms can be obtained at any time from the tills at the school cafeteria or directly here.
STEP 2: How to order meals
To order online, each child must first be registered and have a valid SEPA debit mandate submitted to Sodexo.
Please make online orders at https://www.essen-bei-sodexo.de:
- Use your personal customer number (Kundennummer) and PIN (password) to log into our Internet portal.
- You can also download your monthly invoice (available online from the 4th working day of the following month).
- Regularly updated detailed views of your orders and account movements, newsletter etc. are always available.
- Cancellations due to illness are possible directly via the service centre up to 9:30 on the day in question.
- Cancellations due to class trips and other absences are possible up to 15:00 on the previous day.
Sodexo has been commissioned by BIS to collect the lunch money for pre ordered meals by direct debit.
Collection by SEPA direct debit method:
For this parent must authorise a SEPA debit mandate. Sodexo will then debit the amount due for the month in question from the account proscribed at the beginning of the following month.
As per the SEPA terms and conditions, parents will receive advance information about the amount and debit date by email 5 days in advance. Parents are kindly asked to enter their full email address in the “Registration for Meals” form so that Sodexo can contact you. If parental mandate data (see direct debit mandate) change, please send Sodexo a new SEPA mandate as per the current SEPA terms and conditions.
