Mission Statement
The mission of Bonn International School is to inspire and empower students, aged 3-19, to become balanced, responsible global citizens who are successful, independent thinkers with a passion for learning.
We accomplish this by providing a high-quality, internationally recognized, inquiry-based education in English within a caring multicultural community.

The 2008-2013 Strategic Plan supports the BIS mission:
In 2008-2009, over 60 parents, students and staff members reflected on and evaluated the progress and achievements of Bonn International School and agreed how it should develop in the future. From these reflections, a 5-year strategic plan was formulated.
Five areas were identified for action, all aimed at achieving the following three objectives:
- All students will develop and consistently demonstrate the attributes of a responsible, caring, respectful, principled and reflective person.
- All students' performance in mathematics, science and languages will show consistent improvement individually and collectively based on averages of comparable high-achieving international schools.
- All students will achieve self-set personal goals annually.
Progress reports reflecting the status of the five areas of action are posted on a monthly basis on the secured parent section of the website.
