Applications for admission to Bonn International School are accepted at any time during the year, although it is not always possible to guarantee immediate entry. We do accept students for mid-year enrolment provided space is available.
The following admission requirements and grade placements are adhered to.
Parents of students with special educational needs should indicate the nature of the need on the application form and enclose all assessments, Individual Educational Programmes (IEPs) and other documentation that will enable the Principal to determine whether acceptance of the student is advisable.
To apply for admission to BIS, please read the documents contained in the Admissions General Information package and complete the documents in clear handwriting as found in the Admissions Forms Package:
All of the above-mentioned forms, with the exception of the Grade Specific Confidential School Recommendation Form, should be sent to the Admissions Office to process your application. The completed Grade Specific Confidential School Recommendation Form should be sent directly from the previous school to our Admissions Office. The Registration Fee should be paid upon receipt.
Submission of an application does not mean that the student has been accepted. Once BIS has received a complete application, we will contact you to let you know the status of the application.
We interview all families as part of the enrolment process. We recognise the pressure on families in preparing their move to the greater Bonn/Cologne area and will schedule interviews at mutually convenient times.
The visit will provide an excellent overview of the school’s programmes and facilities and is an opportunity to have questions answered. Selecting the right school for your child is important, so come and meet us and make an informed decision. We look forward to hearing from you.
