Why BIS?

We believe that BIS is a special place to learn because:

  • We are accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), Council of International Schools (CIS) and a member of the Association of German International Schools (AGIS)
  • We offer a high-quality, internationally recognised educational programme fully accredited by the International Baccalaureate for students aged 3 to 19
  • We are one of only a small number of schools world wide to have achieved this status
  • We have a strong sense of community - indeed the school is often described as being like a large family - children are known and respected as individuals in our school
  • All of our programmes focus on the needs of the whole child, they develop intellectual and physical skills while fostering curiosity, tolerance, responsibility and creativity as equally important life skills
  • We have very favourable class sizes with an average of 17.7 students in each class with a maximum of 22
  • We have excellent teaching and support staff
  • A high percentage of our IB Diploma students receive a full diploma in a non-selective process
