As soon as they have this finalized, all families will receive an email with their individual access codes and instructions on how to register and load cards online. All hot meals purchased in the Secondary School will cost €4,35. For this price, students can choose one of three main meal components that will be either meat or vegetarian. Students will then be able to serve themselves side dishes such as potatoes, rice, vegetables and sauce. Additionally they are able to serve themselves a side salad, a dessert and either water or a fruit juice mix.

There is a fresh Salad Bar and with three different salad size options:

Small salad    € 2,20        Medium salad    € 3,00       Big salad   € 4,35

Students may also be able to purchase soup.

Secondary students pay with their ID cards. These can be loaded with money online or using the cash loader in the Waves Foyer.

How to credit ID cards via bank transfer

To transfer money onto a Bonn International School ID card, you require a special identification number that you will have received via email from Rent a Cook. When you electronically transfer the money, please assure under “Verwendungszweck” that you use this specific identification number ONLY.

Please note – this is NOT the number on your BIS ID card or any other identification or password you have received from BIS. I is absolutely critical that this ID number is entered in the “Verwendungszweck” field and nothing else. Failure to do this can result in the bank transfer failing or a delay in charges.

Transfer the amount of money of your choice to the following account:

Recipient Name: Rent a Cook

Bank: VR-Bank Bonn e.G
IBAN: DE12381602206114748011

Verwendungszweck/ Reference:  Identification number, communicated to parents via a personalised email sent date XXX

Each transaction will be attached to an individual id card, so that each student and each parent will have a separate Rent a Cook identification number that must be used when loading money on to each card. When an ID card is used at the tills in the BIS cafeteria, an update between the bank and the register system at BIS will take place The amount transferred will automatically be added to your ID card.
