Bonn International School is located at the southern tip of Bonn`s largest park, on the banks of the Rhine River. To the west of our school is the American Compound, a historic housing complex, and to the south of our campus is the leafy suburb of Bad Godesberg-Plittersdorf. The setting brings to life the rich natural and cultural traditions of Germany and wider Europe.
Our campus consists of two buildings, Agora (built in 2012) and Waves (built in 2006), surrounded by significant outdoor play, sport and recreational spaces. Both buildings feature generous, light-filled classrooms and are outfitted with high-speed wireless access for all students and teachers.
The school campus is fenced in. Our security team members regularly patrol the grounds and check in visitors.
To accommodate the increased demand for international education in Bonn, 2016 sees BIS embrace an expansion project within its campus. This consists of a new building with additional classrooms and office space. Furthermore, our whole school cafeteria will win more space by expanding into the adjoining courtyard.
Here you can also view our school on a map or get personalised directions on how to get to our school. BIS is also easily reached by public transportation. The 610 and 611 buses stop only a few minutes walk from our school gate and connect with both the Bonn and Bad Godesberg main stations; both hubs for regional and local trains, trams and buses. Tram stops are about 10-15 minutes from school.
Should you wish to take a closer look at our, we would be happy to arrange a visit.
Preview our Campus through the lens of our Grade 5 students, who chose to make this movie as a part of their unit related to advertising.
